How to read Rad Time
Rad Time counts the day in four nested units: quaternary, senary, decimal and byte. It's written Point : Minute Season : byte, so 2:00 is the first moment of Point 2 and 1:30 is Point 1, Minute 3, Season 0. The island day turns over at 6:00 a.m. your local time.
Point
Four Points make a day. On the round face each Point lights another quadrant, starting bottom right.
Minute
Six Minutes make a Point. The four lamps light one by one from the bottom, and the centre lights for Minute 5.
Season
Ten Seasons make a Minute. The centre shows the Season: blank for 0, then I to IX.
byte
256 bytes make a Season. The gold track fills once every Season, starting at the bottom.
4 × 6 × 10 × 256 = 61,440 bytes in a day.
